It's not ugly, it's fkn awesome! I've got a couple of pictures of it on one of my laptops somewhere. Only thing I'd change is to put a set of GTS mirrors on it.

Good luck in your search. Let's hope you find it before I do, cause I tend to not let go of cars once I get my hands on them

I agree with playwme, looks good I reckon. Seems tragic to cut straight vans up nowadays but back then, different story. In comparison that black tandem van looks a bit like it was built by Homer Simpson

I had it in Camira in Brisbane.
I sold it around 1995 to a guy from NZ who was heading off to Perth.

I kept a casual eye out for it since then but never heard boo about it.

Now 4 kids and 18 years later I'd like another chance to look after it (properly).

I know I'm stating the obvious but if anyone finds it please PM me.
Hell, I'd even pay a decent spotters fee if I ever owned it again.

Would you offer the same deal if I find your Camira?

I agree it's awesome, but it is ugly. It's unbalanced with a HUGE arse!
The quarter panel swage line would be a worry also. I'm guessing the fugly stripe is attempting to hide it.

I don't begrudge it's existence, I think it's rather cool it was built. It's still ugly though!

Looks like the plates on it in CV&T were ACT.

The van was originally built by someone in Canberra. Can't remember he's name.

Me and my brother were the second owners.

I ended up moving to Queensland then sold it to fund a house purchase.

I still love it but thought it was a one off. But the Simpson mobile has proved me wrong. I'd hate to think forty acres has turned into THAT! An inspection would quickly prove otherwise.

The swage line was done to perfection but the bog started to fall out and things went downhill from there. The stripes was to breakup such a huge area of panel work.

I guess I just like ugly.
