    Lightbulb Rain gutters....

It's raining here at the moment and the van was out today and I noticed puddles in the front of the rain gutters on each side. Back in the old days we used to drill a small hole where the water collected to drain it. I'm tempted to do mine, but I thought I'd ask if it was the done thing or frowned upon these days.

I also remember that water used to then run in the window if you had it wound down, so there is a trade - off.

    Opinions?

I agree. They should run to the rear so water will naturally drain. I know it does when you drive, but I hate the idea of leaving the van parked for a long time with water just sitting there.

If I drill mine, I'll do it just before I paint it and then it'll be like it was always that way.

I can start small. I guess it only has to let water through and water is pretty crafty at getting through small holes!

    Maybe 1/16" to start.....
