Has anyone got or seen the fibreglass top tailgates that I've seen on ebay?
I've given up looking for a good top 'gate and was wondering if the factory hardware fits and more importantly, if the tailgate fits OK.

Vans.... This is the 2nd time round the block, 40 years later! talk about turning back the clock!
ive met a few people who have had them, i think a common problem with them is the mount where the struts hold it open usually end up cracking, you wouldn't be able to cruise down the road with it open all the time the vibration and the weight of the glass will crack the mounting points, as far as locking pins etc i think they all fit fine

they are lighter but where the strut mounts to the fiberglass they crack
they dont crack anything on the car but the fiberglass isnt strong enough to support itself and the glass, so where the strut bolts to the fiberglass it cracks under its own weight steel is strong enough to hold its own weight so it doesnt crack
OK... I'm with you now.
I don't like them, but maybe if I used gas struts it might soften the impact. (what am I saying!!!!!????)
