    No, but it is just black paint, applied after the car was painted. So a dealer could have done it.

    Would dealers have been allowed to order a set of stripes, paint some blackouts and sell an optioned Kingsood van as a "Sandman" to a prospective buyers? You would of thought Holden would not of been keen on them optioning up vehicles and then selling them as designated models that the company had done advertising for.

    They did it a lot. Funny that many Sandman buyers didn't want stripes and other non-Sandman buyers wanted them put on! As Innuendo says, sheep (or wannabe's)!

    My hz 308 m21 18v was built in dandenong it came out with no stripes

    DL7 (delete stripes) appears to be the most or close to the most common stripe style in HZ!

    That is not uncommon to use the DL7 option for Sandmans to delete the stripes on a HZ as a lot of buyers didn't want the embarrassment. You just had the pay the extra so they didn't fit them.
