Kick Melbourne (err sorry Brisbane II) out of the game and about two people would be upset.
I have no problem with Freo, just don't expect people in NSW to care if South Melbourne lose.
We didn't care when they made and won Grand Finals and certainly couldn't give a rats ar$se about whatever happened today, it's simply not relevant to 99% of people in our state.
But if it makes you feel happy, fair enough!

Sadly AFL is making big inroads into NSW. That and soccer. Things like 6 refs and 26 players who can't count up to 6 takles do not help.

I can 100% assure you the two Sydney teams is a financial ploy of the AFL to undermine Sydney heartland trying to up it's TV value.
But the over mothered generation of sooks coming through now are probably destined for it, so I guess your right.
It doesn't rate in my world, it's fine for the mexicans they don't know any better and were bought up on it. We sort of liked it like that it was just another mexican oddity.
But any game where you miss and still get a point for getting close is for girls.
We all have a right to the game we support, I played a decade of league and it truly is The Greatest Game Of All.
If your lucky SA and WA might one day have the pleasure once again. It certainly makes far more sense then having a Melbourne based team made of players from Brisbane and a reserve grade team playing for Cronulla.
I agree, Rugby is a worse game than VFL to watch. Only Soccer is worse. League is a much better game.
People go to watch the game as it is awful on TV. Has always been the case. League is made for TV.
At the end of the day there just big boys playing keep e off both afl and nrl
give me motor racing anyday where you really need skill
