He seems keen to do something with them, but they always do!
I've spoken to him about restorations, and he's struggling to find someone to under take them, I'm not in a position at the moment, ....down the track may be a different story, he does seem genuine about restoring some of them. Byron, I wasn't 100% that it was a GTS 350, although I recalled that it was, I actually edited the post to change the title of that photo from GTS 350 to GTS 4 door, cause I wasn't sure!

Gene, you've got no Idea, the photo's are just a sniff of what's in there, let alone the gts monaro shell sitting in the paddock!

HZSM50, It near made me cry, most of the guys in my club are hotrodders, and custom guys, so they really weren't that affected by it, as a Hloden guy it hurt to see them all wasting away! So many classics, and mostly really good cars!

That is interesting isn't it - remember Aliens thread from a couple of months back on the Lambretta Chevrolet collection? I remember a comment in that thread where a member (cant remember whom, havent checked) suggested a hope that one day there might be a similar collection of Holdens turn up somewhere in Australia... I wonder if there are other collections - the mind boggles.

I reckon though, that fo the cars that are under a roof, if they are inland, the chook feed/dust/crap wont hurt em too much, if I was the owner, I'd give em another 10 or 20 years then see what they are worth! The paint will be stuffed, but better than if they had been on the road, hydraulics will all need a rebuild by now anyway so, no difference there, no strong UV so the interiors should stay good, give em another 10 in the shed at least I reckon!

Only prob is, there may not be much affordable petrol left by then. (lol).

Wow who has enough money to keep buying cars you don't need??
He would be better off selling them all and buying some gold.

I don't think they are wasting away but rather just being taken really good care of in prep for the next bloke who buys them once the owner dies. you can rest assured that at least he knows what they are worth so one day they will find there way back to the highways burning some serious rubber instead of winding up as scrap
