    Thing's you've done to you van or car, that didn't turn out the way you planned!

    I was told my fuel issue was the needle and seat. Changed that on the weekend, feeling great. Went for a test thrashing,( I mean drive ) bummer that's not the problemback to the drawing board

    had an 180sx was blowing smoke and tried everything , decided to just get another motor to throw in. used the same bigger turbo from original motor and it was running exactly the same, doh turbo had blown an oil seal .
    put another turbo on all fixed ....grrrr

    I've got an EL falcon, 5 litre, It's got a fuel problem, a mechanic I work with diagnosed it as the fuel pressure reg, changed it... ehhh wrong!
    nah it must be a blocked fuel filter!.......... changed that ehhh wrong!
    Fuel pump!................EHHH WRONG!!!!



    So $250 and a heap of stuffing around It's still stuffed! must be a bloody Ford thing!!!

    Replaced the Murphy temp gauge in my Kenworth. Drove it 30km and the new gauge was showing very hot. No....
    The end off the old sender had found its way all the way to the thermostat and was jamming it shut! Lucky I found it and lucky I didn't cook a $15000 Cummins.

    Went and bought new shocks to fit to the HQ... got under it, started swearing and pulling bits out only to find it was sway bar rubbers perished not a shock after all.

    mate had an old 6cyl valiant and thought the rear main seal was leaking so he pulled the motor out to fix it and discovered it was the rocker cover leaking
