I've only got the one tailgate sticker. The other big boxes are multiple side stripes. I'd prefer not to let it go at this stage but I'll certainly keep you in mind once the van is put back together.Originally Posted by Alien DNA

Hi tidyvan, do you have any original HZ DY2 stripes? I would like to see the colour as the ones that have been made in the past and what is around at the moment is not the same as the stripes that were on my van when new.
Bob, I'm now not sure what is HX and what is HZ or what the difference might be. I can write down all the part numbers from the decals that I have if that helps.

Im sure we have discussed this many times Bob. Back in the day there was more than one place printing the stripes. So there was variations of colours. So there is a chance mine are different to what your remember 30 years ago. My DY2 we got the sample colour from a guard that was removed in 1980 off a HZ so the bloke could fit GTS guards. Be stashed in the shed ever since. Photo below to show we have them exact.
Its also very possible that HX/HZ colour of the DY2 stripes was different slightly. afterall this was a 4-5 year stint of the same stripes being printed. There is a chance that extra store stock was a different shade also.... Impossible now to know sadly.
A photo if you get one taken. Will not be the colour in the flesh obviously. Digital images depending on the computer/screen and also camera will change colours in a big way.
Saying that if you ever did want a darker colour printed then let us know. We can do once off prints. Its not a simple thing to do with screen printing! that's for sure! But it can be done at a cost....

Alien ill be in touch when we have finished our print runs at the moment. We are doing some big print runs as we want to have as much stock as possible to head to the nats! Never know your luck with DX5. HX or HZ DX5?

Hi Jason, I have seen the colour of the stripes. David Smith (Graffix Unlimited) had a set there and they are a long way off what mine were. He has seen several photos of my van and he is going to make me a custom set.

Depending on what colour you want we may have a tailgate one here.... I know I have a hx dy3 one. and maybe some others....
I love Alien's idea, I'd also be interested in purchasing one if you have a spare Jason. I like dy3 if Alien doesn't grab it.
I have complete sets of DY3 id sell cheap. Because it doesn't have a white underbrace. (these where stuffup sets) So it can only be stuck on white. otherwise the yellow will fade if stuck onto a dark car.
If your interested in one of these complete kits drop us an email. They will be cheap ;) I was going to save them for the van nats next month as an on the day cheapie. But I have a few sets. They will be about half the price of a normal kit
I also have a good set of HX DY3. that doesn't have the tailgate one or guard ones. that I would sell at a decent price also.
