I blew a fuse in the Sonata last night, and while I'm not a mechanic, fuses are fairly straight forward. I checked every fuse I could find and they were all fine so I couldn't fix it. All good except the fuse ran the GPS and Phone charger, I was headed to Melbourne to pick up a top tail gate.
I managed to get there and back to a highway servo where I noticed the local RACV bloke in the car park. I wandered over, told him my plight and he came over and fixed me up quickly and free of charge.
Turns out he just purchased an HJ Windowless Sandman Van AND an HX LE Monaro. Monaro doesn't have original motor though. It has an L34 out of a Bathurst Torana... I'm not sure as he lost me a little with numbers and what have you. His info was a little scattered, he thought the Monaro was an HQ but he said original maroon paint and gold honeycomb rims. Along with what he thought was an LS on badge or sticker. I figure it's an HX LE?
A 'friend of a friend' said there are some cars here, Grandfather passed away, had stored them for years... He paid $5,000 on the spot and took them home on a truck. Sandman needed tranny fluid.
Who has this mad, terrific luck..?
