I think they were sedans and maybe utes.

Guys further to my earlier query last week, please see below tags off my vehicle, would anyone have any access to old Holden records for original build specs?

Sorry for pic quality, hard to load large pics on thread.

No one, even Holden has 'fiche records for HZ after mid June 1978. Anything once VB Commodore production started is missing.
Thanks for that info, that is really frustrating, would loved to have known what spec it was really built as.
Mate, the photos are too small, they are not clear enough to make out the numbers.
Innuendo I will re-post a little larger:photo (5).jpgphoto (6).jpg
Hope that helps, thanks.
They are larger than last post.

You have a basic Holden V8 Panel Van
1/79 = January 1979
HZ8WM70
HZ = Model 8=GM Australia W=Body Platform M=Holden Base Model 70=Panel Van
476134B
476134=Production Number B=Brisbane
1926 67C
1926 = Flamenco Red 67C = Tan (67C is actually a shared Commodore vinyl)
568 30517
568 = Solid Colour 30517 = Flamenco Red
L32=253 M20=4 Speed GV4=3.36:1
In a HZ with base 253 V8 a standard manual gearbox is a M20 and the standard diff ratio is 3.36:1
Being built in Brisbane if it was a Sandman it would have an extra code on the top right.
The weight would read 2000kg not 2200kg
You can read more http://mysandman.com.au/index.php/the-hz/identification
It could still be 2200kg if it was a Sandman, the normal XU3 Sandman used load rated tyres hence stayed at 2200kg. It was the Sandman with optional lower GVW that was 2000kg.
Without either of these codes the van in question isn't a Sandman, but having Brown trim rules it out too (67C brown isn't a Sandman trim code).
Guys, thanks so much for your help. I look forward to bringing it back to life as per original anyway.
I thought this true but wasn't 100% so I read http://mysandman.com.au/index.php/the-hz/identification and it states 2000kg for Sandman. Either way, being Brisbane built it should have XX7 or XU3 stamped and it doesn't.
Bringing it back to spec is a loverly idea. But seeing it's not a Sandman you could modify and people won't jump up and down for ruining a genuine Sandman.
We are always interested in the build process so please share your build photos and story.
