Central west car show

Hi, we are attending the central west car show this Saturday also with some members from the Monaro club of NSW , leaving Sydney Friday morning. Was thinking of maybe going through Cowra and up to parkes from there, just wanting to know is there any road works on the way. Cheers Hope to catch up with other forum members on the day

There are road works just near manildra which they water and this made a mess of my jeep and camper going to Bathurst races
So going via cowra might be a good detour and from cowra to Parkes there may be work on the gooloogong bridge so recommend to go via canowindra or forbes

Here is a media release we are expecting quite a few van this year including storm bringer, final destination, and elegantly wasted to name a few

So the swap meet is on a differnt day? If we came Sunday for the swap meet is it at the same location? and will we get to see the VANS etc or you need to stay in Parkes for the whole weekend?

Yes RAEME the car show is on Saturday 9 am to 3.00 pm run by the central west car club ,the swap meet is on Sunday run by the Parkes antique car club some or most of the van would be still around town on Sunday but May not be together or able to inspected

Off course in regard to some of the vans and cars I hope the roads to Sydney via mountains stays open today and tonight in relation to the fires

Last year I couldn't get through until 2.30 on Friday because of the snow, now we look to be leaving late because of the fires.

Australia is very diverse Monman. Most of our crew got through this morning before they closed the road I just looked at live traffic RTA site, and the great western highway is open again but smoky safe travels look forward to seeing you
