VB, VC, VH, VK. Could be any. Only the engine number will give up which one. Unless it is something like VT1020 it will be a long valley bolt boss block.

So true, - you could also have a look at what Castlemaine Rod Shop has on offer, that might give you a heap of options to consider.
The bell-housing I got from them (308 Chevy pattern to Holden) is everything I expected, or better, great cast finish and nicely machined. It was just as affordable as any other option, delivered quickly via Aust Post, and came with a neat "CRS" logo embossed in the side of the casting too.
Worth a look on their website, probably a phone call too!
i recentley sold a crs turbo to aussie pattern with fork for 100 bucks just to get rid off it who wants to put aussie 4 sp behind a semi worked 308 or a chev
I do, I do! I love changing gears. Seems everyone wants an auto these days.
Not that there is anything wrong with an auto, but I'd prefer to change gears!
A couple of other questions for those that have repowered their van or ute with a latter model motor and gearbox. As my van was equipped with a Trimatic do I have to change the gearbox cross member?
4L60 just about fits a TH350 crossmember. If you can find an early WB Statesman crossmember you can shorten it or modify the M15/20/21/22/40 one to suit.
Just wondering how we go with rego using late block I know date codes might line up 94 and 74 wise but won't the vr type number flash up in database then have to use all late pollution gear? And what is the actual difference with the turbo gbox crossmember are the holes further back or does the box have to sit lower have a crs type for the t700 but doesn't look very original though
TH350 crossmember has an outrigger as mount is forward of the crossmember.
Can anyone tell me if the late model blokes (VN onwards) have a different bolt pattern between a manual and auto?
