I reckon the first thing you need to do is know what you want at the end of the day. If you dont have any mechanical ability, pay the dough, buy a good runner someone else has spent their money on and enjoy it. If you love restoring old cars, enjoy the chase of hard to find bits and have the ability to do a first rate job buy whatever suits you. And either way its a better investment than 99.9% of the new stuff.
