A security hole was discovered in the forum software by hacker kiddies. 30,000 sites reported being hacked in a couple different ways. The most common was the front landing page was changed, other a lot more nefarious by installing phishing software to promote scams.

The guys at the web host company quarantined the site while I was away for work and I had to trawl through the site data (2gb) to remove non approved files. I re installed the forum from scratch and upgraded the security hole.

The only thing I am waiting for now is to get the photos from the gallery back, there will be a delay on that one.
