found HJ with 18X trim

I brought a HJ statesman today to wreck, but its too good to wreck with 18X trim, i have never seen an 18X trim on a HJ since i have been taking notice of ID tags

the paint code ended in xxx47 , so i assume its satin mist + the car is silver

anyone else seen 18x trim on a HJ?

im not into tags and numbers that heavily that i take notice...i just call byron and he tells me when it comes to numbers like that..that leaves my small amount of brain space free for all sorts of other carparts...

anyways just wreck it adam...:goth:

i can't wreck it, its too good, luckily i have a wb stato which is the same colour so she may be doin a bit of ghostin'"!

Yep, seen it on Kingswoods, Monaro's and Statesman's.... It is nothing out of the ordinary as Slate black trim was available on HJ.... HJ Sandman was available with 18V trim on Kingswood ute.

this 18X is different to 18V, the 18X is a different fabric, its velour in black so it appears on this statesman

Isn't the X in the 18X trim code just cloth insert. Maybe hounds tooth or david jones style pattern.:Tongue:

Adam, the HJ catalogue lists

Kingswood
18V -- vinyl
18X -- vinyl and cloth
18Y -- vinyl and cloth

Monaro, Premier, Deville, Caprice
18V -- vinyl
18X -- vinyl and cloth
18Y -- vinyl and cloth
18Z -- vinyl and cloth

I haven't found anything to confirm if the letter codes correspond to a particular cloth style, it doesn't seem to.

Caprice had velour trim but black would be a rare trim colour in Caprice.
