A bit of a trip down memory lane for Sydney folks in the late 80's/early 90's.

Blast from the past

I think I was well away from Brickies, Moonrise and Davies Rd scenes by then ('93)... But remember iconic cars of the time and the people who drove them Vishus and his corty, Rotor1, Pacman, Black and his XY etc etc and a few other people involved who also ran respectable businesses at the time...

I just read the whole story and a lot of memories were restored. I remember the days before then at Brickies back in the 70's, and later at Carter St and Davis Rd in the 80's. It was blown out of all proportion by the media and the Police, it was usually pretty tame and surprisingly well organised. People knew to stay out of the way and the races just went on in an orderly fashion. Most racers were drag racers from Castlereagh at some stage, even if just at street meets, so they acted in a professional way.

It was a big part of my early driving life for sure, every weekend at Big Chiefs, then Brickies.
