Wombat, I just noticed that the van has Commodore wheels on it, if you have put these on, take them off and put HQ-WB wheels on it. Putting Commodore wheels on H series Holdens causes strain on the studs and will lead to failure. The PCD is different as one is imperial and one is metric.

Thanks for that. They are only there to move the car around but I did not know that they can damage the studs. I need two sets of GTS rims, 1 for the HQ the other for the HZ. I might look for a set of HQ rims to stop the strain.
PCD is the pitch circle diameter, basically if you draw a circle around the hub on the centre line of the studs, this gives you the PCD. The PCD of the HQ-WB is 5 on (4 3/4) or 4.75 inch which is approx 120.65mm, where the PCD of the Commodore is 5 on 120mm(4.724in). Even though it is only 0.9mm difference, the fact that Holdens carry the weight of the car on the studs and not on the centre on the hub as Fords do, even this small bending strain is enough to break studs when you are travelling along. Listening to that grinding noise of your brake drum/disc running along the ground and watching your wheel disappear into the distance is not fun.

That's half the problem. The other half is the studs fling through the air and going through someone's windscreen. You don't undo metric nuts with an imperial spanner. You don't put metric wheels on a imperial stud pattern.
But.... Why did they change them anyway? Tyres and wheels are still measured in imperial.
