Yeah include but 30B = Belmont Trim, 30E Kingswood (Utility) Trim No such thing as a HQ Kingswood Panel Van
Not the Sandman ID Guide yet.
I did amend the website ID section for the HQ Sandman
http://mysandman.com.au/site/index.p...identification
I saw this when it was first listed and discarded it after checking it against the ID section when it had the E on the trim code..............Damn!!!
3.08 is the standard 253 manual diff ratio from HT-HJ, 3.36 is the standard 308 4spd ratio. The standard 253 manual diff ratio changed to 3.55 in HX and although not readily documented appears to go to 3.36 some time in HZ. So a HQ V8 Kingswood ute will be blank if it is 3.08 (option code GV1) or will have GV2 if it is 3.36.
Yes, that's right, E trim is standard vinyl HQ Kingswood or Monaro trim except for a few specials with other codes. A and B trims (bench and bucket) are HQ Belmont or HQ cab chassis only. C and D are Belmont with cloth inserts (HQ SS). J is another Kingswood vinyl. G and K are Kingswood with cloth insert. Plus there is another HQ Kingswood "sports" with an insert trim that i'm not sure on the code of.
The 'sports' codes are all in the 80's,using A & B and probably the nicest of the Kingswood trims, only available during the middle of 74 and so far appear to be sedan only.
30E isn't 74 Kingswood exclusive, the new codes started along with the introduction of the GTS/4 in Feb 73.
