anyone know what colour, what trim, is it all matching ,the chassis matches the last plate
Is the chassis BHJ21092B or BHJ21926B? The first one fits better.

You could put an L31 in it easily enough. Engine, gearbox, dash and wheels are cheap compared to rust and panel repairs. Doesn't take much to rack up 8g's in rust repairs if you can't do it yourself. It costs $2500 to $3000 to get side windows filled in and this one is windowless, also no question it's a Sandman as XX7 plated.... Quite desirable being factory Tuxedo black and HJ so you get GTS guards.

There is a red HJ on eBay similar to this one that has reached $4000 with no engine or gearbox, L32 XX7 plated.... Quite a bit of rust needing to be cut out of it though, easily $6000 in rust repairs if you can't do it yourself.

I agree, start with the best body you can find.We searched for a long time to find ours (no rust in the roof and nice straight sides and very minimal rust anywhere else) but going by the opinions of people on this site we probably paid too much for it.

They are only opinions. If you are happy
with your purchase, thats all that matters.
What you pay is your business only, no one
    else's. Enjoy it.

I wouldn't worry. Those opinions with low prices are from people who don't have one yet or have one that's incredibly rusty and won't get completed.

This one just sold on eBay for $6900, no engine or gearbox.

I'll wager there is a lot more than $1600 in rust repairs to do on it also. A factory black HJ Sandman would be a fairly rare beasty, good buying in my opinion at $8500. If you can find a fairly straight mostly rust free genuine Sandman for less, than you have found a real bargain.
