Thanks guys for your help I've had her in the shed for 8 years now thinking it was but was unsure read all the info so I understand about the xx7 stamps and different factory builds. I should no more in time about its history as I have tracked down 3 past owners and the last bloke said he brought it of the original owner just gotta find him!!
I was just being very specific on the XX7, of course the XU3 is a Sandman as well and like you say 'normal'.
What is meant by that is the XX7 has the term 'derated' associated with it because the tyres supplied were passenger type tyres instead of the commercial rated tyres.
I knew what you meant, was just clarifying for anyone who Googles and finds the thread.
