    Yep that's another way. You will also note that the engine number will also follow that sequence.

    173H = QDXXXXXXX
    173L = QEXXXXXXX
    202H = QLXXXXXXX
    202L = QMXXXXXXX
    253H = QRXXXXXXX
    253L = QSXXXXXXX
    308H = QTXXXXXXX

    H = High Compression L= Low Compression engines.

    2214 = GM-H code for Tuxedo Black single tone

    60V = Chamois trim (HJ or HZ)

    568-15991 = Dulux code for Tuxedo Black paint

    60V depends on what it is on. It is called Beige in some applications and as Terry says in others it is Chamois/Covert.

    The Deauville HJ I had a few years ago had 60v trim. It had chamois seats and the dash pad was a pale greeny colour (from memory) - is that the covert?

    Is it as simple as taking the roof off the ute and putting the roof of a van on top? Or would it be easier to swap the whole ute body off the chassis and replacing it with a van body?

    1) yep... Sabre saw and a spot weld cutter, then have at it.... I've cut van roofs off and put a ute roof on which wasn't that hard, second one was easy. However doing it the other way around would be a bit more difficult, mainly keeping the van roof and side panels straight and aligned.... Use lots of bracing.

    2) Much easier.... Problem is finding the correct body.. IE manufacturing plant.... and a lot of people don't condone body swaps....

    Tuxedo black with Beige trim on a HJ van.

    Does this make the entire trim Beige or is half Beige and half Tuxedo?
