Thank God for a father in law who is a retired panel beater
A little bit of a project mate.

ALL the best of luck with the build mate, should keep you occupied at any rate.

First on my to do list is to get a shed at the new place. Everything is on hold till that fateful day. But when that happens, the body is ready to come off the chassis. It will probably sit in the corner for a while and I'll focus on the chassis rebuild, then drive train.

Just saw that you asked 'which' is on the to do list first... haha The tonner will be done first. It already has a bare metalled/new componentry chassis and the engine (though 253) has had some work. Cab and front need paint, is remarkably rust free, has a stato front and is ready to spray. Also needs an interior as the one in it, while awesome, will come out to make way for a whole different colour. The cool thing about the tonner is it can all be done away from home and by the time it's finished, I should have a shed. Leaving the important jobs like the Sandman to be done in comfort. And ridiculous cost.

Go and look on Gumtree, and buy it (the gunmetal grey ute). You won't find a better value HQ Sandman anywhere.

I spotted that one and agree about the expense to restore ( the 39E Chestnut would take a bit of getting used to ). Probably should have mentioned that I would prefer a panel van. Early days yet
