You can still buy them. Toffee pop corn and peanuts. Back in the day I remember them being advertised on the "Super Flying Fun Show" on Channel 9. The show with Marty and Emu. The Paddle Pop Lion would also get a good amount of time on this kids show.

That get me thinking about Marty Monster (Remember the fight with the Kangaroo?)
If you don't or wish to re-live it

It was a common catch phrase of the day. Just like Ace, Bulk, Groovy, Sick etc.

It was BIG Rooster for me. They were eventually re-badged as Red Rooster.

I have a tiger tail in my collection.
Yes mate I know, I just like the reaction of the older fella in the ad when the young bloke says " Real Horny" and the old bloke says "Horny? what kind of word is that?"

Fair enough, I didn't watch through the ad and thought "you" were asking.

70's TV for me was the Paul Hogan Show, Brady Bunch, Dr Who and Benny Hill. Cartoons such as Funky Phantom, Scooby Doo, Flintstones. I saw Star Wars, Jaws and Kings Kong at the cinemas in Newcastle. Grease at the Skyline Drive-Inn.
Mum had a HQ Kingswood wagon. Dad a HQ Belmont ute.

Lots of music was Aussie that I remember hearing, Marcia Hines, Sherbet, Johhny Farnham, Skyhooks, Little River Band, Ted Mulray Gang, Olivia Newton John, Peter Allen etc. Although a lot of big intenational stuff around too like Abba, Blondie, Beatles, Rod Stewart, Dr Hook, Queen, Elton John, Bay City Rollers, Elvis, Suzi Quattro, Led Zeppelin, Creedence just to name a few.

Lots of WW2 based movies around as well I saw with my dad like Kelly's Heroes. James Bond movies were popular as well. I recall seeing the Forbidden Planet for the first time in the 70's although it was a 50's movie.
