    Do You Remember?

OK, so Sandman's are traditional 1970's. What items/brands do you remember that coincide with the same time period we longer have available to us?
Maybe you miss them or maybe you don't. Most obviously left us due to corporate take overs.

    Things like:

    Triple Treat Ice Cream
The Crowd Pleaser 3 Litre Bottle
    Tooheys Country Special Beer
    BBC Hardware
    Cheese Things
    GI Lime
    Polly Waffle
    Springelex Sports Steering Wheels
    Golden Fleece Service Stations
    D'or Curb Feelers
Stud Cola ...Unbutton a STUD (with the pop-top openings)
    Shelley's Soft Drinks
    Fruit Tingles
    Steam Rollers (Mints)
    Blankety Blanks Lemonade
    Rosella Savory Rice
    Tarax
    Uncle Sam Deodorant
    Pea-Beu Fly Spray
    Bex and Vincent Powders

and who stole the "33" from Brute 33?

Anyone remember "Cue Cola" I used to buy and drink everyday from the school canteen.

    Man, I'm getting all sentimental!
The 1st thing I ever bought from a speed shop was a Springalex steering wheel. 13" and vinyl because I couldn't afford the leather one. I got it at Hardimans at Beverly Hills.

They got a lot of my early car dollars.......
Vans.... This is the 2nd time round the block, 40 years later! talk about turning back the clock!

You can still get Fruit Tingles and Polly Waffles. I'm sure Shelley's are still around too, or at least made?

    I remember from that time:

    Kung-Fu iceblocks
TAB Cola (especially Elle McPherson as a 17 year old in the red bikini)
    Ted Mulray gang
God Save the Queen as the National anthem
The warm as p!ss milk we were made to drink at school

Fruit Tingles maybe under the "Wonka" name. Polly Waffles are now long gone (unless they have been revived?). Shelley's are all branded "Kirks" now.

All of the above Hk only not those ice blocks but I do Remember Dracula ice blocks with a stick which had bat cut outs. My naughty friend slept with Ted Mulray at the ripe old age of 15 when he did a concert in Forbes, in 1979. Although I wonder if it was a tale, but someone reckons they saw it. Lol. Tab cola I drank. And Sang god save the queen. I drank frozen milk as didn't migrate until 1972 from uk. Went from frozen to tepid. Lol great memories.

You are lucky you got your milk, I was 800 kms by rail from Perth and most of the triangle milk containers had leaked by the time they got to us.
