NR prefix is a 253 V8 Nasco/GM P&A block.

If you are missing your original 253 keep the NR block. It is better than any other 253 other than your original. Cast dates mean nothing with replacement engines, any will do.
Ok thanks ..... this is the motor in the van ...dont have the original.
