Will it help to bed rubbers in by closing the doors and letting it sit for a few months? I have new rubbers for the tonner and have to store it for a while. Is it better to open and close or stay closed?

I was hoping that that was the case. I replaced the original ones while I was painting my ute with "a brand" from Victoria and wasn't hugely happy with them as I couldn't adjust the door far enough out for them to working without slamming the door. So I then bought some from another reputable dealer and have found the same thing.... Looking at both (different types/brands of door seals - they are very different from each other), they are both quite a great deal thicker in cross-section than the original (perished) ones that were fitted from new.
This first world issue I will soon have to sort out one way or the other as I'm taking three weeks off work to get the beast in paint (finally) and hope it gets to see the road again for the first time in three years soon. It was only ever taken off the road for a "bit of a tidy up...."
Nunc est bibendum...
