What sort of moron spends tens of thousands of dollars on their car and then does this to it in a burnout comp??? Family event? I wouldn't take my family there after all the bleeping out of swearing, carrying on like idiots for the cameras and general yahooing I saw displayed on camera. Pretty sure they banned the street cruise because of the bad behaviour quite a few years ago.
I was there in '88 (first year of the Burnout pad) in '86 it was just on the NATEX internal road. Of course that wasn't Summernats (it hadn't been invented at that stage). I think I did every Summernats for 13 years. But you grow out of it, you can't take your missus for the wolf whistles and show ya tits by every second drunken idiot. But when your younger and it's all new we thought it was the place to be. I still have every entrant plaque, T-Shirt and Sticker from every year in my collection. Actually one of my entrant plates is on my tubbed HT Van.

It's not for me anymore, some say I'm just old and cranky! But the reality is I'm just not young and stupid.
