Is there any Holden sedan later than an HZ GTS that typically pulls more than new value?

I hate to disagree with you Byron but nobody wants those cars anymore
the whole fully sik turbo VL are done and dusted
ive said this before but the whole muscle car collectable cars days are just about over
have a look how many 2 door commodores ( Monaros) are for sale the markets flooded with them
and there not selling
people have to put roofs and food in front of toys
the worst is yet to come mark my words
Looks pricey.................http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/echuc...ore/1077226269.
If someone offered me a mint VB SL/E 5.0L auto or manual for $12k i'd buy it. This is roughly what they were new. None of these are muscle cars though including HZ GTS or V2 Monaros. The proper Aussie GMH muscle cars (HK GTS327 through to LH L34) will always be worth good money, maybe not what they were at their peak but still will always be wanted. Until there is no fuel maybe.
Its the whole economy atm house prices car prices have all dropped
more and more families are splitting up because of it
the mining down turn over here has killed us and it aint getting better anytime soon FACT
I wouldn't buy a car as an investment to make money, and definitely not a new one. Too risky, with the old ones you could get lucky on a price boom or still loose. That said if I was after a car to enjoy for a few years (with a view to either not loosing much or perhaps making some if I'm lucky) I'd buy an old car over a new one anyday. Almost all new cars loose around 50% in the first 5 years guaranteed, makes the troughs the old cars go into seem minor. Except if you paid $800K for a HO in '07 that is.
