HK, with respect, I accept that a GTS is not a Commodore, I accept that GTO is not a Monaro. What I can't accept is that they are not Holden's. My opinion only.

HSV = "Holden" Special Vehicles = Holden...
Anyway back on topic...I'll be keeping my ute, nothing wrong with it and I bought it to keep. I love having a vehicle that only requires servicing and fuel, and you can drive anywhere.
"Proud To Be An Old Fart".
Yeah, and I'll be keeping my Clubsport and my Wife's keeping her SS. The Monaro I was looking at has sold and I'm kinda relieved.
No, I'm highly relieved! As much as it would have been a good Anniversary present for my Wife, the though of not having that thing in the shed has caused a few sleepless nights.
I took it out for a blast today and gave it a quick hit at a lot more than double the speed limit and then tucked it back in bed.![]()
Vans.... This is the 2nd time round the block, 40 years later! talk about turning back the clock!
Certainly!!! I was in total control the entire time.
That's one of the perks of living in a quiet, rural environment. (It doesn't hurt to be on a 1st name basis with all the local cops either.....)
Then tonight I took the wife out for dinner to celebrate our wedding anniversary and we took the Valiant wagon. I had trouble reaching the speed limit in that!![]()

I had the HQ tuned and timed today (the mechanic was impressed with it's performance), I still had trouble reaching the speed limit... haha
hi.chasing an original hq to hz sandman hopefully in wa if anyone can help that be great
Yes, it was a Holden Monaro CV8 over here. I saw a couple in Hawaii last year, one on Oahu in Waikiki and one on Maui on the drive down to Hana. They look a bit different in some areas though to the ones we got here, the fuel filler was in a wierd spot up on the top of the quarter and they had no boot/trunk space as the fuel tank was over the axle. The wheels were the same as we got on V2 and V2 II Monaro but they had gloss clear painted over the wheel silver metallic. I think some of the V2 examples you got over there got the bonnet with the scoops in them that we didn't get until VZ.
