They look a bit different in some areas though to the ones we got here, the fuel filler was in a wierd spot up on the top of the quarter and they had no boot/trunk space as the fuel tank was over the axle.

The Aussie VZ Monaro had its fuel tank & filler set up exactly like that.

Yep, I bought a 2004 CV8R new in early 2005 and the CV8Z had been released. I choose the CV8R because the Z had virtually no boot space.

I was the same, I could have had a new VZ pretty cheap but the boot was useless so I bought a used V2 instead. Plus I didn't like the XB Falcon looking bonnet scoops.

Not our V2's though which is what I saw over there. They must have got that mod earlier than we got it in VZ.
