Yep, I bought a 2004 CV8R new in early 2005 and the CV8Z had been released. I choose the CV8R because the Z had virtually no boot space.

I was the same, I could have had a new VZ pretty cheap but the boot was useless so I bought a used V2 instead. Plus I didn't like the XB Falcon looking bonnet scoops.

Not our V2's though which is what I saw over there. They must have got that mod earlier than we got it in VZ.

Wasn't that all to do with US requirements for fuel tank placement?

Holden should have run with that pink Torana concept. That would have saved Holden Australia. Even my wife loved it when we saw it at the Sydney motor show. She has never liked any Holden car. Such a shame they put so much effort flogging the dead horse commodore platform.
The GTR-X, the more you look at it the better it is. Another master stroke of stupidity not to build it. If only Holden wasn't hamstrung by GM.

I was just thinking after my trip to the museum.

A Brock Samara and a Brock "Energy Polariser" powered car would be abstract collectables??????

I think they should bring back the Energy Polariser for environmental reasons !!!!! lol, pseudoscience my eye !

Possibly, the only model any of the local manufacturer's will be working on now, will be the usual "last model ever" collectable. All the speculator's will rush out and buy them hoping to profit, and never drive. Any Group A, 50th Anniversary GT Falcon, Cobra Falcon, any of the later model "special's", you never see on the road. Kind of sad, the owner's seem to think they are too precious to drive.
