The go in front of and either side of the cowl grille. They function as end plates to hold the rubber seal (seals the rear of the bonnet) down either side of the cowl grille. You cannot see them in this shot but they sit flat outboard of each end of the grille and the small folded part holds the ends of the rubber flat - the rubber slides under them to a point.
