Yes, but what is a club event ? As long as it's listed in your club magazine, it's a club event.
What we do is use the CMC calendar of events, because we are affiliated with them. We reprint that on the events page in our magazine. This includes all relevant swap meets etc. plus you then add any event that your own club organizes & that gives you plenty of scope. As far as the club is concerned if it's on the list, then our members can attend it.
All the big swap meets & shows are automatically included because they're on the CMC list, this means you can legally drive your car to any of these events. I think it's pretty simple really, if you want to drive your car to the XYZ car show, just make sure it's listed in your club magazine.

You would have ZERO trouble where you live driving a historically registered vehicle as much as you wanted.
Those of us that live rurally can take advantage of the "maintenance run" clause. I take my Valiant for a drive to Moruya (15kms away) or Batemans Bay (25kms away) for "maintenance runs" frequently and have never been pulled over. I think if you parked in the same carpark at work every day there may be a chance you'd be noticed, but as long as you write the run in your log book and can provide a reason for being where you are there's no problem. (It's amazing how often my Valiant needs a 'tune-up"!!!.....)![]()
Vans.... This is the 2nd time round the block, 40 years later! talk about turning back the clock!
