Yep, I only buy if its but it now and free postage. Otherwise I just skip the add.

It's no different than putting in your bid manually during the last 10 seconds. Nothing wrong with it at all. As a buyer, the final countdown gives you that chance to snare a bargain. As a seller, yes it would be beneficial to extend the auction into a going going gone format to get better prices, but that also has the potential to scare away buyers.
Lets face it, the sellers are looking for the highest price possible, the buyers for the lowest price possible, and the fees aren't any worse than what you'd pay at a live auction.
The whole eBay system is still relevant and fair for all involved, and I f@&$ing love it. Within the space of 5 minutes you can own a car that you previously weren't even looking for. Last week I sold $700 worth of things I'd been told to put in the dumpster at a previous job. Instead I put them in the boot of my car, and they were all profit.
I can't see the issue with snipping. You still have your price limit. If it goes for more in the last seconds that's how it is. It actually makes it fairer. Not everyone has fast Internet speeds. The third party bidding makes everyone equal.
I wish I had have bought shares in the evil one years ago!
There will be no buyers if sellers keep trying to pass on fees via outrageous postage costs.
Personally i have found the best place to buy parts are on car forums
have sold plenty to other forum members not mysandman but other forums im on
no problem whatsoever
Yep, forum members tend to look after each other. And there's always one that keeps an eye on ebay, so if something comes up that's of interest it usually gets noticed and reported quickly.
Vans.... This is the 2nd time round the block, 40 years later! talk about turning back the clock!
