For a green HJ Sandman van that needs some work and looks to not have its original engine $10k is about right give or take as far as I am concerned. Yes you could probably clean it up and use it as is but it still needs a few grand spent on it by the looks, and like all of these could probably do with suspension and brake overhaul. I reckon by the time you mucked around on it it'd owe you $15k. And in the end it is a green, probably non-matching engine, probably original 4.2L HJ Sandman van. Looks like a tailgate rust repair on the left and paint looks very dull. On the plus side it does look fairly original bar the engine and radiator plus the rear bar. For WA pricing it is possibly worth it though, but i'd knock this one back over here wanting to pay maybe $7-8k max.
Can anyone make out what is written near the drivers door,it looks like a Tare and Gross amount like its been a work vehicle!?
TARE Weight and Gross weight are a requirement on all W.A. commercial vehicles.. I have owned other sandmans with this written on it.. 1950 kgs on the side is kinda cool !

I'm heading down that way tomorrow (friday) and have emailed them to see if i can have a look while i'm in town. I'll let you know how i go.
Cheers

What about this one. Not original chassis and if you want the original motor and box you have to pay more. Not sure what he is selling for 10 K

Way too much too if you are just getting a shell, but it is a 308 so if negotiated right might be worth it as unless you have other motivation for doing so the only one you'd really want to spend bulk $ on restoring is a 308 example.
