3.3HC changed to L14 as well, not sure why the 3.3LC stayed as L23 or why the 2.85HC stayed as LD1 but the 2.85LC changed from L21 to LD2.
There are many inconsistencies in Holden's engine option numbers, but the ones that I remember are the Red 253 in a VB Commodore is L36, but the same motor in an HZ was L32. The Red 202 was L20 in HQ/J/X/Z but L14 in VB . So the number didn't change at Blue motor intro.

Another one is the V6 in Commodores, VN to VS was LG2, but VT to VY had it as LN3. You would have thought that the number would have changed for the VS Ecotec.

Also the 2850 Lo-Comp was LD2 in Toranas but L21 in the HQ/J/X/Z.
