    Nice custom- Capalaba- $22000

    http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/capal...re-/1039079125
CUSTOM 1965/66 VALIANT 2 DOOR WINDOWLESS PANELVAN, AMERICAN STYLE DELIVERY. IT STARTED LIFE AS A VC 4 DOOR WAGON, WAS STRIPPED DOWN AND TAKEN TO PAUL KELLY @ 'SMOOTH CRUISING', WHO DID THE FABRICATION FROM 4 DOOR TO 2 DOOR. ( I HAVE PHOTOS OF THE BUILD AND FABRICATION ). LOWERED REAR WHEEL ARCHES, (3 & HALF INCHES). WAS PAINTED 8 YEARS AGO IN 2 PACK SPARKLING BURGANDY, PAINTWORK STILL LOOKS GREAT BUT HAS A FEW WEAR AND TEAR MARKS. INTERIOR IS GREAT WITH CHAMOIS COLOUR TRIM, STILL HAS REAR SEAT, 6 SEATER ALL UP WITH SPLIT BARRACUDA TILT FORWARD FRONT BENCH SEAT. FRONT SEAT BELTS, NO REAR ONES. HAS NEW WINDSCREEN, NEW WINDSCREEN & DOOR RUBBERS. HAS A 318 904 AUTO, 4 BARREL MILD CAM. RUNS AND DRIVES, NEEDS FINAL TOUCHES TO COMPLETE. 95% FINISHED. IF YOUR LOOKING FOR A RARE CUSTOM CRUISER THIS ONE IS A REAL HEAD TURNER.
I know its not a Sandman but its a pretty schmick looking thing, could easy be factory.

That's done nicely. Wouldn't mind doing that to a HZ wagon, perhaps with lengthened front doors.

I've seen a photo somewhere of a chopped van with monaro doors, maybe on here, looked good. Got a Q wagon shell here if you ever want to have a go, not a great body but mint floorpan, mainly rusty round the rear windows which wouldn't matter. Tracking down a set of coupe doors would be the most expensive bit.

I've actually got all the bits, a spare pov spec rust free wagon (to avoid cutting up the premier) and I've got some extra coupe doors as well. Only thing I'm lacking at the moment might be the skill, but I've got a new workshop in progress and a good network of skilled automotive craftsmen who I've done plenty of favours for. Might practice my welding on the wife's Valiant before I attack a Holden with a grinder.

Me too,I just picked up a low mileage but very weathered - not driven since 81 and parked behind a shed- ap5 push button auto and although its probably sacrilege to say it would have been a more advanced and probably better car than an XM Falcon or an EH looking at it now. 3 speed auto, 225 cube six, torsion bar front end, pretty snazzy in 64.

    Go the old AP5
I think Chrysler was a little more adventurous in their styling and it wasnt to everyones tastes. I grew up with dads 67 VC.....that thing was a tank and it just wouldnt die......18 yrs of loyal service that gave us. Only in its last days it started blowing smoke.....cried like a baby when i saw that drive away :(
Would really dig seeing some shots of the AP5

My cousin basically cant enter his hardtop in mopar shows anymore.....he cleans up everything. Theyve politely asked him not to enter it for a while. It really is a thing of beauty. Has the design team autographs on the air cleaner too!!

And here is his CL Charger, another stunning car......skip to 4:10 to check it out. Its a V8 killer that one
