    no agro..it was in a wb ute body that is on an hx chassis he has purchased as a project that he has been putting back together..he is almost finished when he came across this problem that i couldnt nut out over the phone so he bought the offending item up....when i saw it i went.... :eek::eek:..and then
    late this afternoon he rang me and said that the column i sold him would not fit...it was too long..he has sent me some pics but they are at work on my email..i shall post them tomorrow before i reveal why it would not fit...and why that one was so damaged..

    O.K.
    Are the shafts going down to the steering box different lengths? (between power steer & standard steer)
    BO6 = Rarer then a Sandman

    no power steering and armstrong steering are the same intermediate shaft...

    yeh it got me at first as i presumed his mate had clobbered the crap out of it while it was in the car to get the top bearing back in..it wasn till i posted this and then he rang me and told me the good column wouldnt bolt up under the dash that i started to think logically... i then aligned the planets and fired up the popcorn maker....

    it is a wb ute body with a wb column...but the body is sitting on a hx chassis...but thats irelavent...

    about time you listened to me....:shifty:

    ok...one more clue...if you bolt his bent column back in the car it fits perfect....:eek:
    but if you try to bolt the perfect column in its too long and will not bolt up under the dash...
