Diesels are dearer to service, plus it is silly not to do oil and filter on them every 5000 as you say as it is the best thing for them. I'm only talking $3-500 or so pa, not much but it does eat away at the fuel waving benefit.
I'm still going to give the SR single cab D4D with A750F auto a good look though. I can use my 17" wheels on it, plus all the A750F accessories, sheepskin seat covers, Eclipse unit and reverse camera etc as I have all the original stuff off mine to go back on if I trade it. One of tose with an alloy tray would be lighter than a dual cab too so may not be as sluggish as the SR5 diesels i've tried.
