I had a customer in the shop today with a boy in the local Primary school. We got talking about how kids are getting trophies for participation and not success etc.... and he told me that as of today, the school has outlawed the use of the word "fat".
It is not to be used in any way, spoken or written, and is regarded as an insult. Any child using the word "fat" will be subject to punishment (although I think punishment is also outlawed so that will be interesting).
Is this a local thing or National/Statewide?
I can't imagine the school implementing this unless it was a directive from the Education Dept.
Another case of more cotton wool to protect kids from reality......
