any suggstions, i have a mild 308 (low to mid 300hp) with a 3.36 diff, and in between a t400 which has been kitted with a hi stall converter . I'm going to be running 255 60 x 15 on the rear. but Im defiantly going to get a lsd diff made up once it's all up and running and i have saved enough for one.. any suggestions on ratios? i figure because of the larger tyre/rim combo i should maybe go up 4.44.

the van will only be used on weekends and i want it to get off the line reasonably well. with the occasional country cruise.

That is a very low diff ratio. Even with those wheels(which wont be much different in outside diameter to 14" any way) it will be great on the drag strip but horrible on country drives.

i had a HQ ute with that exact combo, but the motor was 2 barrel stomberg 253.
any slight incline on a hill even on the highway at 100km'h knocked 10km/h off is straight away and it wouldn't recover.

mook.my wb caprice van has a grumpy 308 injected with 3500 stall and its fully manualised.. the nine inch was a 3.88 ratio which was great for off the line and burnouts...triple 4s are not the go..i had no probs driving it on the streets with the 388s but there was no need as i wasnt drag racing or doing burnouts like the previous owner...i borrowed a 3 to 1 slippery centre off byron and put that in and was pleasantly surprised...however with the stall in it i have had a 3.25 done with a slippery...i shall report back on that once it is in...
this is what a 3.88 full spooled 9 inch is good for http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rfv81zZ7OQY
