Ive just had a look and it should be easy enough to make simple plate out of something about 6mm thick that bolts down to the vn heads with countersunk machine screws and is drilled and threaded for studs or bolts for the tin covers to sit on.
If I get time in the next few days Ill knock one up and post it here .
