A bit of a debate on the page about if its original or not, the key evidence for the negative being that it has seating capacity of 3.....and we all know there were no bench seat sandmans.

He's taken the ad down. probably scared that it didn't have a reserve price on it. The car isn't a genuine Sandman going by the seating capacity on the compliance tag. It's Brisbane built so if it were genuine you would show off the XX7 on the body tag. The two large tags are shown on the FB page but XX7 is not stamped on them and the car is a 3 seater.

I've just gotta say that the Sandman badge on the front guard, jammed in above the flutes looks a bit crook. Likewise a blacked-out Statesman grille.

Not sure I would do that to a HJ. Adding HZ nose and later model stripes. But as it's not a Sandman ...
Doesn't really matter I guess.

Now at $15,100 I wonder what the new owner will think when they find out it is not a Sandman. How do they get away with this or the average punter just that stupid!?

if the incoming owner has the balls and desire they can sue in a civil court for the balance between the value of a hotted up 308 van and a hotted up modified HJ Sandman. Might only be $5-10K thus not worth the effort. you'd still be pissed if you were on the receiving end
