They had that long shifter with the big bend in it and a boot which bolted down with four bolts ,not a straight shifter as per console or buckets with floor shift.

There was only one console (with variations of the same theme along the way) for commercials. Benc seat with floor shift was basically almost always vinyl floor with a rubber boot around a bent stick.
