    B. B is used for buckets, A for bench. There isn't a "short" console, it is a seat separator, and it was mandatory with buckets except with 4spd or if console shift was standard. The only places in a HQ Belmont or Kingswood where console shift was standard were as a result of a special vehicle package being applied to that Belmont or Kingsowod model:

    SS (V8 Belmont sedan).
    GTS (V8 Kingswood sedan).
Sandman (6cyl or V8 Belmont ute or van, or 6cyl or V8 Kingswood ute).

The way to know which is wrong is to look at the back of the tunnel for a little pressed steel bracket, basically between the (bucket) seats but to the rear. If that is there is is a bucket seat car as a seat separator was mandatory with buckets on that car. If it isn't it was a bench seat car.
Is the pressed steel bracket on the inside of the car or under near the tunnel??

It is to mount a seat separator or console so it is inside, between where buckets would be on the top of the tunnel at the rear.

It's the wrong trim code then as it has the console bracket there.

Cool, it means it is a bucket seat car with seat separator and column shift.
