This guy is using this site to show that his car is a genuine sandman. I didn't think sandman.com did this. It might be a sandman but a bit cheeky to try to prove authenticity.

Interesting. The database is Byron's baby, not part of mySandman.com, and I can't see Blocker giving out his personal phone number in emails given that he barely has time around work and family for site matters, let alone phone support.
I can't really see a problem with this if in fact it has already been authenticated by this site. I am sure it would have only been given the OK after much healthy discussion and debate on the usual points of authentication and may save another lengthy thread on an already discussed matter. As far as I know no Letters of Authenticity are issued from this site and this maybe something the proposed MySandman Club could look into.![]()
HZ Persian Sand Mk2 Sandman (under full restoration)
HX Chamois Monaro GTS
The email states "we already have this on our data base as a confirmed Sandman" so I would say the seller Mark originally emailed or messaged Byron requesting info.
Personally I don't see anything wrong with the advertisement.... It is a Sandman, the seller is up front and has the original 6cyl engine and there are plenty of pics of the van, he also received info from this site confirming it as a genuine HJ Sandman and has conveyed that in his listing.
i do think it is a bit dear for what you get but that is my opinion.... 6cyl is good for a P plater though...
4/75 HJ XX7 Sandman Panelvan ... Persian Sand currently restoring
7/76 HX Monaro 4dr 308 4sp... Absinth Yellow and rusty as hell.. SOLD
3/77 HX Sandman Panelvan ... Absinth Yellow and rusty as hell .. SOLD
I don't remember it but looks very much like a Sandman. The fact I can't remember it shouldn't be a concern though as I see dozens of them a month.
Have a look in the description and the seller has done a "cut and paste" from the authentication email. In the signature line there's the email address info@mysandman.com , website mysandman.com , and a mobile phone number. There's no way that's from Byron and I can't see Blocker giving out his phone number.
Thoughts @Blocker.
