    Jeep Wrangler or FJ Cruiser

My son works in WA. A few weeks ago his car was written off and he is now thinking of buying a Jeep Wrangler or an FJ cruiser. What do you think?
    Any good or bad things.

FJ is a toyota, so that's good. Wrangler is a jeep, so that's bad.

Does he care about residual value or has he got money to burn?

Cares about value. He has narrowed down to these two.

V6 and A750F auto are good in the FJ that is essentially a Landcruiser Prado or Hilux underneath. F%^*ing ugly POS though! You can buy a better exhaust to make them go even better.

I have a jeep wrangler it has been very good, and we take it on some rough roads, but am glad it is in warranty. The Toyota has no room in the back for passengers, but maybe more comfortable to ride in. Jeep does come in diesel which we wanted but the fj didn't although they do make them in the states. I have heard about as many issues with Toyota as jeeps so it's really a toss up on price. Jeep diesel wranglers seem to hold their price better, and tow well aNd are a great 4wd.
