BQZ
did the HX Sandmans have the premier fronts??
1983 WB 253 "ute"
1975 Sandman "ute" Sold in 1983 (Tragedy)
No. Only HZ had the quad light front.
And at the risk of being pedantic it is the GTS nose, not Premier. Ambulance got the Premier nose. A few major differences like grille treatment, blacked out headlights, QH lights, spoiler cutouts. Sandman always got the same frontal treatment as GTS except:
guards lost in HX;
no GTS badges;
SS grille in HQ.
This one did not float my boat , did not like the "sandman" sticker being oo low , the studded Tarp rather than the ropes and the front not being original , no interior shots??
the L31 / M21 dis get my attention though !!
They fellow got good money for it..

I sold a mandarin HX sandman ute L31/M21 to a guy in perth a few years ago. Wonder if its the same one??
Wonder what the final price was? Good factory combo, but not the most desirable model in my eyes. I had HX Sandman van in this colour about 20 years ago. It was a roller, windowed but the panel and paint had just been done and it was immaculate - paid $1,900 for it.
How do you tell if the PS and A/C are specific to the vehicle from factory or if they were fitted afterward? I know it would be on the original purchase records but can you tell by the plates? Cheers, Jez
Don't mind the lower tailgate sticker actually, could get used to that. They would only be placed high to match the side's, having it lower would obviously protect it from being damaged by the rope's from the tonneau cover. Mine lasted about a month, each to their own though.
"Proud To Be An Old Fart".
that's my old ute. sold it at Christmas last year.
