Dave I have a basic Alpine stereo system and I just mounted them straight up to the dash, no soundbox,i have a GTS so the rears are mounted on the rear shelf.It provided me with a bit of front sound ,they obviously don't have the basey sound like the rears ,just adjusted the fader to equalise the front and back . sounds not to bad and I didn't really want to cut holes in the kick panel ,worth the money in my opinion.
