Ah, good thinking! I've been researching a lot of complex answers lately related to the overall drive train and this has escaped me.

Had to ask Yella Terra what the blower performance was as HM Gem needed details of blower power curve so they could match a cam
Then they wanted a psi boost number so they could select pistons
Then they called bullshit when i said i would never change the pulley size!
Then had to tell gearbox man the cam 'duration at 50 thou lift' so he could get the correct stall converter
Then he wanted to know the wheel size
Then he wanted to know diff ratio
Then the EFI shop wanted to know total HP so they could spec new injectors

    and so on etc...

Lots to remember for a sparky playing mechanics!

That all sounds correct and relevant.
    Along with sounding expensive!

Project is nearly back on track. Panel shop has finished painting the chassis rails and this time round they are 2 pack black with epoxy primer! Thanks f@#! the enamel debacle is done with...

Should be picking them up on Saturday and that will trigger a bucket load of reassembly work.

So picked up the chassis today. All good and very happy with the shiny bits! Now its time to hook in and bolt lots of stuff back together...but North Melbourne had a win in the footy today, so i might just have a few drinks first!

Couple of pics from the day...

Thanks Innuendo, yes agreed. Its been a very long break between panel van work, so time to move things along. I can't wait to see the new drive train in place and fully operational.

So i ignored the advice from the panel shop and started tinkering around today, even though i was supposed to leave the paint alone for a bit more. Gently bolted up the rack and pinion steering for a look and worked out its not as shiny as the newly painted bits. Might have to review my other bits for proper shininess...

So ended up sending some stuff back to the panel shop for some extra 2pak love (control, arms, steering rack etc) and got everything back last weekend. Grabbed some new Pedders springs today (2090) and started to fit the front back together. Don't have a spring compressor on hand so decided to wait until the engine is back (so I've got some weight on hand) before i drop the springs in. Will sit a couple of blocks of wood in place of the springs for now, so i can throw wheels on the front tomorrow. Couple of pics below

    Looking great mate!!

Not trying to be smart and I'm sure you've got it covered but just make sure all bolts, nuts, hex heads etc are positioned so they can be worked on when the car is complete......
I only say this as someone that had to basically rebuild a car because the previous owner thought nuts, heads etc looked ugly and in their rebuild hid them from view...ie: in non factory spots that you can never reach once the engine is back in and the body is back on
For example, all hose clamps and CV boots (n/a in your case)
